  • What is your staff doing to ensure safety?
    In order to prioritize members’ safety and protect themselves, all are required to do a daily screen including a temperature check before their shift, and are required to wear Person Protective Equipment (PPE). All Midtown Health Club employees are trained on the proper execution of our updated health and safety protocols.
  • What is a self-screening?
    At the check-in table, each member will need to read and agree that they do not have any symptoms related to the COVID-19 virus including: experiencing any coughing, having a temperature of 100.4o, or having difficulty breathing. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms or additional symptoms related to the virus we kindly ask that you do not check-in or enter the club. Temperature will not be taken in the club.
  • What happens if someone visits the club has, or is exposed to the virus?"
    Members will be asked to alert their club’s General Manager if they test positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of their last club visit. Spark will email notification to all potentially exposed persons if there is a confirmed case of COVID-19. Members who have come in contact with another individual who has COVID-19 are asked to not enter the club until they have been tested or 14 days have past.
  • Do members have to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)?
    According to Chicago guidelines all members have to wear masks at all times while they are in the club including during exercise. Masks may be removed for showering only. Gloves are not required for members, but will be available upon request.
  • Can I use my badge to access the club at any time?
    Members will have access to the club during staffed hours ONLY (Monday-Friday), at this time. Your badge will not provide access before or after staffed hours. The club will not be accessible 24/7.
  • What are the cleaning guidelines for members?
    There are disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizers located throughout the club. Members are to wipe down equipment before and after use. Please also wipe any surrounding area that has been affected by your workout.
  • Will I have access to the locker room and showers?
    The restrooms, sinks and locker bays, showers and the use of lockers to store your belongings will be available. All will be marked and spaced at least 6 feet apart to allow for physical distancing. Both small and large towels will only be available at the front desk. There will be no towels stocked in the locker rooms.
  • What amenities are being provided?
    The showers amenities (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) will be available, but other amenities (lotion, deodorant, hairspray, blow dryers, Qtips, etc.) will not be available at this time.
  • Will there be classes?
    At this time, no in person classes will be offered. We will continue to provide online group exercise classes for you. Midtown Fitness will inform you when the next schedule of classes is open for members to attend.
  • Is the club open to new members?
    Yes, the club is open to new members. If you would like to sign up, please visit the website to retrieve the application.
  • Is the racquet ball and basketball court available?
    At this time in order to follow physical distancing guidelines, the racquet ball courts and basketball court will be available but only 1 person per court will be allowed.
